The detail pane displays information about a selected project element. Every view supports a detail pane for the elements represented in that view. The name pane (left side of Gantt pane) displays the name of the element and is the only part of the Gantt view that allows selection.

The detail pane can also be closed by dragging the vertical dividing bar or by selecting one of the arrows at the top of the bar.

The name pane can be resized as needed to display object names.
